Nordson Launch New HDLV™ Pump System

The Nordson high-density powder, low-volume air (HDLV™) pump delivers more powder to the part for improved system efficiency.

“The HDLV™ pump accurately meters powder to the gun,” says John Binder, Marketing Manager, Powder Coatings Systems, “for a softer spray that delivers more powder to the part with higher first-pass transfer efficiency.”

The pump uses true closed-loop digital flow technology to ensure that any fluctuation of incoming compressed air is compensated for to minimize any variation of powder flow at the gun tip.

The HDLV™ pump design allows for automatic purgeability of the powder transport line without disassembly and without switching powder transport hoses, allowing for ultra-fast color changes.

Since the pump uses less air, there is less wear on the parts due to lower air velocity, and smaller powder transport lines can be used to move the powder.
